Rationale
My teaching approach is enriched by a diverse set of skills, including curriculum development, art history, and interdisciplinary instructioThe artwork shows that I understand how to mix primary colors, and blend them to create something more. I chose to do a landscape because I felt I could show these skills the best. with the blending of the greenery. I strive to incorporate innovative methods that empower students to discover their unique artistic voice while honing fundamental skills.
Artist Statement
I created a warm colored landscape, using 3 primary colors where I used a hint of yellow in everything to bring everything together. I wanted to create a warm serene peaceful scene.

Description
The project for my unit plan was about creating a well rounded original character that reflected a part of the students as well as included influence from the key artist Rebecca Sugar.
Rationale
After teaching this lesson, the students understand the process that goes into developing a character for their future animations that they will be developing for the class
Artist Statement
I created a short stocky character like steven, the character that Rebecca Sugar created. My character relates to me because she has blue hair as well as being someone who likes to take naps, which is why she is wearing comfy clothes, slippers, and is carrying a blanket

Description
I assessed the final products of the student’s worked with the rubric presented to the left. I chose to do a 4 point scale since that is what the students are used to and what my cooperating teacher uses.
Rationale
I would look at the final design of their character as well as their artist statement that explained who their character was, the backstory, how it connect to them personally, as well as how Rebecca Sugar’s creation influenced the making of their character

I created a presentation that has links to youtube videos and links to resources that I presented to the class. My artist handout is made from the slides from my presentation but with more detail
Rationale
The artists that were chosen are people from different backgrounds so the students would have at least one aspect they can relate to, as well as recognize some of the artist’s works since they all have been part of the creative process for well known animations

Description
It is a photo of me in a ¾ side profile and in my arms, I am holding my beige/blond small pomchi in my arms, but her fur is cut short and a pink collar but where it snaps together it is black. She is yawning and her ears are pointed upwards, and I am mimicking her, my mouth is wide open as I am looking at her. I have long dark brown wavy hair with the fronts a little reddish color. I have a red, orange, and pink thin striped crop top with spaghetti straps. The colors of this piece are all warm tone yellows, pinks, and browns.
Rationale
My piece connects to the unit’s big ideas by incorporating the ideas of family and clinginess like featured artist: Cbabi and his painting of a father and his child on his shoulders. It also connects to the secondary artist Aliza and her work and represents people she believes are important (me showing my relationship with my dog is important). We are the only subjects, nothing else taking away attention or to divert your eyes. Our bodies create a heart shape by the way I am carrying her and how she is positioned.

This is a painting recreation of a photo of me and my dog, our bodies create the shape of a heart, the colors were all mixed from primary and white.

Pal 1 Submission 1
I am part of a RSO - a dance club on campus and we host events such as fund raisers to advertise out group to gain new members as well as earn money to put on our showcases. I have participated in fundraisers such as selling donuts and bakes goods on the school grounds.

My second PAL is that I have been in performances that have been put on, in one of the school auditoriums, (the Braden auditorium) for my RSO. We put on two shows a year and I participated in both of them this current shool year (23/24). I was in multiple dances and they can even be seen on youtube.

Pal 2 Submission 1
I participated in an event for highschoolers around the area of Bloomington Illinois and the surrounding towns. I was an assistant to another art educator student who was teaching them the group of highschoolers about culture and what symbols represent them, and they eventually painted those symbols on Tote bags which they were able to take back home with them.
